Flourishing Beyond the Classroom
Here at OHS, we are proud to offer an extensive selection of clubs, as well as an extended Wraparound care service. Whether it’s early mornings or late afternoons, our committed team at OHS are there for your little ones!
Wraparound Care
We operate an extensive term-time Wraparound service from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
At Breakfast Club (as morning sessions are most commonly known) our pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 are given a light breakfast and take part in some morning activities before being taken to their classes at 8.25am.
At the end of the school day, children are collected from their class, and enjoy a healthy snack before taking part in some activities such as crafts, outdoor play, reading and games. The older children are able to use this time to begin their homework.
Wraparound sessions are available at an additional cost, details can be found here.
Extracurricular Clubs
From Netball to Touch-Type, Cooking to Debating, we have a club for everyone here at OHS. We offer over 40 clubs per academic year, with options changing termly to allow children to attend as many different clubs as they would like. In addition to these clubs, we benefit from the wonderful inter-school extracurricular activities offered by Dukes Education which include poetry reading in Westminster Hall, sports tournaments for swimming, netball, and football, musical performances at the Royal Festival Hall, and many many more.
From Year 1, children are encouraged to take part in two clubs a week, an extension of their individual growth and development. A number of sports teams and Music ensembles practice before school between 7.15am and 8.15am. Afterschool clubs take place from approximately 3.30pm to 4.30pm, but may differ depending on the activity. Children can attend Wraparound after a club.
